Got Me in Stitches XO

Hand Embroidered Custom Art Pieces

Well, hello there! I’m so happy you are here! My name is Victoria Arbegast and Got Me in Stitches XO is my hand embroidery business! Based out of Reno Nevada, Got Me in Stitches XO was born out of my passion for creating art, the world around me continuously sparks inspiration for new pieces, I couldn’t imagine not creating art every single day, art is genuinely my life.

For as long as I can remember, I have always had some sort of art medium on my person doodling, painting, and daydreaming of my next projects. I was raised mucking around in tidepools searching for the tiniest creatures and shells, exploring the pond on our property trying to catch tadpoles, getting into trouble in the woods and fields and going on insane family adventures exploring the wonders of our beautiful world. It only makes sense that having spent so much time in the great outdoors as a child, that mother nature and its creatures are my muse.

A year or two after High School, while scrolling on Pinterest I saw an idea for a felt phone case and wanted to make one for a friend as a Christmas gift, everyone loved it and so I began my small business creating handmade felt phone cases and felt Christmas ornaments. Drawing a 2D idea and making it into a 3D creation was so fulfilling to me and as more and more time progressed, I realized my true passion was actually the action of the hand sewing these felt pieces and thus my passion for embroidery was born.

For several years now, I’ve been diving headfirst into embroidery, working on passion pieces and one-of-a-kind art commissions for clients, I have always done this as a side hustle but for the past few months it has become my full-time career. I love stitching an array of subjects; however, I am drawn most to pet portraits, animals, nature, and even video game or animated characters. My art tends to have nature elements within it, a lot of color play and most of the time has 3D elements and fun textures. I adore playing with thread painting, stumpwork, and needle felting techniques to achieve the textures and the natural chaos of moss, plants, and our beloved pets’ furs.

My goal is to make you feel depth and texture in my art along with crisp clean elements. The way that hand embroidery captures the textures of fur is unreal, it is truly the perfect medium to capture our pets and animal friends. When it comes to pet portraits, realistic thread paintings or even stitching a beloved video game character EVERY STITCH is intentional and with purpose and I believe that shows through in my work.

  • " I just wanted to say that your masterpiece is to this day one of our most prized possessions, we were joking at dinner tonight and went around the table and said "if the house was burning down what is the first thing you'd take" my husband said Milo's portrait, you are truly gifted my friend just thought you should know how loved your work is"

  • "I had this piece made of Scout and Brutakiss and I can't even explain how beautiful it is. I told Victoria about them both and how we lost them both and how much they meant to us, I sent her my favorite photos and she put this together, she sent photos of the entire process and it arrived just in time for Fathers Day, its a little overwhelming at how beautiful it is."

  • "I commissioned Victoria to make a memorial piece for my nephews, they had lost both of their fur babies and were heartbroken. She did such an incredible job, she just has an eye for the shading and stitching you would have thought it was a photo. They were not only surprised but so elated. When they called they said they couldn't believe how well she did and it was so life like it would always have a special place in their home. If we gave stars she would get 10 from us. "
